WHALE TALES EVENT OVERVIEW
Dates: February 19–23, 2026
Location: The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua
All presentations will take place Friday, February 20 – Sunday, February 22 and will be livestreamed. Can’t make it in person? Registrants will have access to the recordings for 30 days after the event.

The Whale Tales Keiki Day is a day of hands-on learning for West Maui 4th Graders to participate in an immersive STEAM Workshop with their classes. This year we are expecting nearly 200 students!
Friday will be the first day of presentations as well as our first day of benefit whale watches.
Friday evening will feature a very special event:
Listening to the Ocean: An Evening of Conversation with Ocean Elders – A Special Event with Nainoa Thompson, Dr. Sylvia Earle, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Sven Lindblad and Lavinia Currier.
Benefit Whale Watches and the Special Event will require separate registration.
Presentations and whale watches continue on Saturday.

Sunday will be our final day of presentations.
Sunday Evening will feature a free special event film screening of Ocean with David Attenborough.
Although this film screening is free please register separately from Whale Tales to save your spot.
Monday we will wrap up our 20th Year of Whale Tales with a day filled with Benefit Whale Watches.
The proceeds of these benefit whale watches go to the Whale Tales Beneficiary Fund, which in previous years has raised 1.25 million dollars for Whale Research and Education.
