The Whale Trust Alaska Photo Expedition is a four-day photo safari aboard a private 34-ft aluminum hull vessel. Guided and led by three award-winning nature photographers, the expedition will provide you with a unique and in-depth experience to learn and explore some of the key elements of nature photography with whales, Alaska landscapes and other wildlife as your muse.

WHERE TO STAY
Four Points Juneau
*The boat departs each day from Auke Bay if you prefer to secure an AirBnB or other accomodation on yur own. Auke Bay a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Juneau. Shuttles will be provided to/from the Baranof Hotel.

Whale Trust co-founders – Meagan Jones, Flip Nicklin, and Jim Darling – have more than 60 years of collective experience in whale research and education worldwide. With a strong spirit of collaboration, their research focuses on the reproductive behavior and natural communication patterns of humpback whales in the North Pacific.

$6,000 Minimum Donation (Per Person)
INCLUDES
- 8 to 10-hour daily photo safari aboard a private 34-ft aluminum hull vessel.
- Option for special hotel room rate . This rate does not include taxes and resort fees.
- Welcome dinner with National Geographic Contributing Photographer, Ralph Pace, National Geographic Photographer and Whale Trust co-founder, Flip Nicklin, and nature photographer Mark Kelley.
- Catered breakfast and lunch, with hot and cold beverages and snacks onboard the daily photo safaris.
- Daily shuttle to and from harbor.
